Based in Grand Marais, Minnesota, along the storied edge of the Gunflint Trail, Kerry Lane is a visual artist, wilderness guide, and music composer whose work is rooted in the raw, untamed spirit of the Northwoods. His photography captures the stark beauty of northern Minnesota—where ancient forests meet cold starlight, and the aurora burns above frozen lakes like a quiet fire. From weathered tools to forgotten trails, his images echo a life shaped by the land.

Katrina Pierson is an interdisciplinary artist, mindfulness educator and community facilitator based in Northern Minnesota.

She helps people deepen relationships with self, community, and the living world by activating attention, empathy, and collective imagination to spark community action. Her work in leadership and community centers on relational ecology where she helps organizations and communities lead with humanity, creativity and a deep sense of place.

Needle Felting Artits

My style of recreating photo memories with needle felting seeks a softer yet more complex visual. I use fine layers of color and various natural and synthetic fibers and textures to draw you back to the raw aesthetics and sensations of the experience and how it felt to be there. I love spending time in nature and draw much of my inspiration from photos I’ve captured in and around the wilderness of Northeastern Minnesota, where I live with my husband and Labrador Retrievers.
